DESCRIPTION OF ITINERARY
DAY 01: PUNO / CHIVAY: Early morning around 6:30am a guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel in Puno (Peru) to take you to Colca Canyon. During the journey we will pass over the Peruvian high plateau, Juliaca city, local villages as Cabanillas, Santa Lucia, making stop at Lagunillas Lagoon where we will see a magnificent geography of the Lagoon surrounded by the mountains of the Andes. On this area there are birds like flamingos and ostrich, also camelids as alpacas, llamas and vicuñas. Then following the journey we will pass over 4528m, passing the local village of Imata, making other stop at Restaurant Patahuasi to drink some hot drinks or go the bathroom, anyway the temperature begin to descend. Then we ascend up to 4910m place called Patapampa, from there you can see the great Colca canyon and Misti Volcano (Arequipa). Then we descend to Chivay 3600m, a small town located on the river of Colca valley, arriving about 12:30 pm. Transfer to hotel.

ADDITIONAL CHARGE:
In Puno city: Pick-up from hotels located out of Puno city, as Hotel Posada del Inca, Casa Andina Private Collection, Eco Inn, Libertador, Jose Antonio. Besides Taypikala hotel located south of Puno, a car trip of  25 minutes approx, and Titilaka hotel is located south of Puno approximately 1:15 hours by car.
In Chivay village: Drop-off for hotels located out of Chivay village as Hotel Colca Lodge, Eco Inn, Casitas Del Colca, Aranwa and others, there is extra charge.

WHAT IS INCLUDED: Private tourist transportation from Puno to Colca Canyon, stops en route at Lagunillas Lake look-out, Patahuasi Restaurant, Patapampa Look-out (mirador) of volcanoes. Besides pre-trip information + organization and all local sales taxes. There are no hidden extras in our prices.
NOT INCLUDED: Entrance tickets, buffet lunch, drinks, extras, tips.
